  1. 2 Eggs

  2. cup Sugar

  3. teaspoon Salt

  4. 1 teaspoon Vanilla

  5. 1 1/2 cup Milk

  1. Beat eggs in top of 1-qt double boiler. Blend in sugar, salt, and vanilla. Pour in milk. Cook over simmering (not boiling) water, stirring constantly. When custard makes thin coating on silver spoon, remove from heat. If custard should start to curdle, remove from heat and beat with rotary beater until smooth. Cool.
