  2. Crab Cakes:

  3. 1 1/2 cups soft, fresh bread crumbs

  4. 8 ounces fresh lump crab meat, picked through for shell pieces

  5. 1/4 cup chopped green onions

  6. 1/2 tsp. salt

  7. 1/2 tsp. pepper

  8. 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro leaves

  9. 1 large egg, beaten to blend

  10. 2 tbsp. water

  11. 4 tbsp. vegetable oil

  12. Sauce:

  13. 1 tbsp. vegetable oil

  14. 1/4 cup minced red onion

  15. 2 medium cloves garlic, peeled and chopped

  16. 2 tsp. Sambal Olek garlic chili sauce

  17. 1/2 cup heavy or whipping cream

  18. 1/4 cup white wine

  19. 1/4 cup lime juice

  1. For Crab Cakes:

  2. Combine bread crumbs, crab, green onions, salt, pepper and cilantro in a medium bowl. Whisk together egg and water in a small bowl. Add 3 tbsp. of the egg mixture to the crab and stir to combine. Form the crab mixture into 4 patties. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add the crab cakes and cook about 4 minutes per side until golden brown and heated through. Drizzle the crab cakes with the sauce and serve.

  3. For Sauce:

  4. Heat oil in a large skillet over low heat. Add onion and garlic. Cook about 5 minutes, stirring frequently, until the onion is tender. Add the Sambal Olek and cook, stirring, 1 minute. Stir in cream, wine and lime juice. Simmer about 8 minutes until the sauce is slightly thickened, stirring occasionally.
