  1. Fresh ginger root - 1

  2. 3 teaspoons 15ml Garlic powder

  3. 1 Jalapeno pepper

  4. 2 cups 474ml Plain yogurt

  5. 1/4 cup 59ml Lemon juice

  6. 2 Bay leaves - crumbled

  7. 2 tablespoons 30ml Paprika

  8. 1 teaspoon 5ml Ground cumin

  9. 1 teaspoon 5ml Ground coriander

  10. 1 teaspoon 5ml Ground cinnamon

  11. 1 teaspoon 5ml Turmeric

  12. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Black pepper

  13. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Ground cardamom

  14. 1/8 teaspoon 0.6ml Cloves - ground

  15. 1 1/2 teaspoons 7 1/2ml Salt

  1. Peel and mince the ginger root. Split, seed and mince the jalapeno pepper. Place ginger, garlic and jalapeno pepper in a bowl.

  2. Whisk in yogurt, lemon juice, bay leaves, paprika, cumin, coriander, cinnamon, turmeric, black pepper, cardamom and cloves. Season to taste with salt. Makes enough marinade to do about 2 lbs. Of meat. (lamb, chicken, shrimp)
