  1. 1 1/4 teaspoons 6 1/3ml Minced garlic

  2. 1 1/4 teaspoons 6 1/3ml Minced fresh ginger

  3. 2 tablespoons 30ml Minced shallots

  4. 1/4 cup 59ml Sesame oil

  5. 3/4 cup 177ml Canola oil

  6. 1/2 cup 118ml Unseasoned rice vinegar

  7. 2 tablespoons 30ml Soy sauce

  8. 2 tablespoons 30ml Thai-style chili sauce

  9. 2 teaspoons 10ml Honey

  10. 1/2 cup 80g / 2.8oz Fermented black beans - rinsed

  11. 1/4 cup 4g / 0.1oz Minced cilantro

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a mixing bowl. Whisk together until combined. This may be prepared a day in advance. It is best not to use a food processor.

  2. This recipe yields about 2 cups of vinaigrette.
