  1. 1 cup(s) all-purpose flour

  2. 2 teaspoon(s) baking powder

  3. 3/4 teaspoon(s) salt

  4. 6 tablespoon(s) butter or margarine

  5. 1 3/4 cup(s) packed light brown sugar

  6. 2 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract

  7. 2 large eggs , lightly beaten

  8. 1 cup(s) pecans , coarsely chopped

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease 13- by 9-inch metal baking pan.

  2. On waxed paper, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. In 3-quart saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Remove saucepan from heat; stir in sugar and vanilla. Add eggs; stir until well mixed. Stir in flour mixture and pecans just until blended. Spread batter in pan.

  3. Bake blondie 20 to 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted 2 inches from edge comes out almost clean. Do not overbake; blondie will firm as it cools. Cool in pan on wire rack.

  4. When cool, cut blondie lengthwise into 4 strips, then cut each strip crosswise into 6 pieces.
