  2. 8 Large Eggs -- separated

  3. 3/4 Cup Sugar

  4. 1 Cup Bourbon

  5. 1/2 Cup Heavy Cream

  6. Nutmeg

  1. Put the egg yolks and sugar into the bowl of an electric mixer and beat until light and lemon-colored.

  2. Gradually add the bourbon, beating on low speed.

  3. In a seperate bowl whip the cream until stiff. Fold it into the egg-yolk mixture.

  4. In a clean bowl whip the egg whites until stiff and fold them into the eggnog. Serve in goblets, with a generous grating of nutmeg on top.
