  1. 1 1/2 pounds large sea scallops

  2. 1/4 cup lemon juice

  3. 1/4 cup olive oil

  4. 1 shallot, finely chopped

  5. 2 cloves garlic, minced

  6. 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

  7. 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce

  8. oak plank, 8 x 16-inches

  1. Soak plank in water for at least an hour before using. Preheat grill for medium-low heat. Combine all ingredients except scallops, in a small bowl. Dip scallops in mixture and set on a separate dish. Place oak plank directly over fire for 5 minutes. Place plank on grill rack and add sea scallops. Allow to cook for 35-40 minutes. Remove from heat and serve.
