  2. 1 pound ground beef

  3. 1 cup chopped onion

  4. 2/3 cup chopped celery

  5. 3/4 cup chopped green pepper

  6. 2 cans tomato paste -- (6 oz.)

  7. 1 cup water

  8. 2 teaspoons chile powder

  9. 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce

  10. 1/2 teaspoon salt

  11. 1/4 teaspoon dried whole thyme

  12. 1/8 teaspoon pepper

  13. 1 dash hot sauce

  14. 1 package corn chips -- (6 oz.)

  15. 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese -- (8 oz.)

  1. Combine ground beef and vegetables in a large skillet; cook until meat is browned, stirring to crumble. Drain of pan drippings. Stir in remaining ingredients except corn chips and cheese; bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve over corn chips, and top with cheese.
