  1. 2 pounds ground beef

  2. 3 1/2 ounces monterey jack cheese grated

  3. 2 large eggs

  4. 1 each onion diced small

  5. 1 small green bell pepper diced small

  6. 5 slices sourdough bread

  7. 1 cup milk

  8. 1 1/2 teaspoons steak sauce

  9. 1 1/2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce

  10. 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic salt

  11. 1/2 teaspoon red hot pepper sauce (eg. Tabasco)

  12. 1/2 teaspoon white pepper ground

  13. 1 tablespoon beef stock prefer veal stock if possible

  14. 1 x chili sauce prepared*

  1. Soak the sourdough bread in milk.

  2. Add all the seasoning and spices (including beef base, steak sauce, worcestershire and tabasco).

  3. Mix the ground beef with jack cheese, onion, bell pepper and egg.

  4. Add the bread and milk to beat mixture and mix together thoroughly.

  5. Form into a loaf and place in a glass or metal baking pan.

  6. Pour chili sauce over the top.

  7. Cook, covered with foil, for approximately 90 minutes at 350 degrees F.
