  1. 1 1/2 cups 93g / 3 1/3oz Flour

  2. 1 1/4 cups 78g / 2.8oz Oats

  3. 1 tablespoon 15ml Baking powder

  4. 1 teaspoon 5ml Cream of tartar

  5. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Salt

  6. 2/3 cup 131g / 4.6oz Butter or margarine - melted

  7. 1/3 cup 78ml Milk

  8. 1 Egg

  9. 1/2 cup 80g / 2.8oz Raisins

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Grease cookie sheet.

  2. Combine flour, oats, baking powder, cream of tartar and salt. Add butter, milk and egg to dry ingredients. Mix just until moistened. Stir in raisins.

  3. Spoon and flatten on prepared sheet. Bake for 12 to 15 minute, or until golden brown. Serve warm with butter, preserves or honey, if desired.

  4. Makes 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 dozen.
