  1. 2 cups poha (beaten rice flakes)(soaked in water for 5 mins)

  2. 1 fruit (colacasia fruit; arbi; boiled and grated)

  3. 1 small potato (boiled and grated)

  4. 35g paneer (or tofu; grated)

  5. 1 tablespoon peanuts (roasted and crushed)

  6. 1 teaspoon ginger paste

  7. 1 teaspoon garlic paste

  8. 3 green chillies (pasted)

  9. 1 teaspoon lemon juice

  10. 1/2 teaspoon sugar

  11. 1/4 teaspoon soda-bi-carb

  12. salt to taste

  13. 15g corn flour (thin slurry as needed)

  14. 1 tsp poppy

  15. oil for frying

  1. In a large bowl,mix first 12 ingredients with light hand.Keep covered for 5 mins,so that all flavors blend with poha.

  2. Make marble size balls with mixture and deep in thin cornflour slurry.Now cover with poppy seeds.

  3. In a hot oil fry on medium flame till,golden brown.Tuck with toothpicks and serve hot with ketchup/salsa/green chutney/or as it is with any hot or cold beverage...:)
