  1. 300 gms chicken

  2. 2 onion (chopped)

  3. 2 potatoes (half chopped)

  4. 1 cup coconut milk (thin)

  5. 1 cup coconut milk (thick )

  6. Curry leaves

  7. 3 green chilies

  8. 8 black pepper (pod)

  9. 3 cloves

  10. 1 cinnamon (stick)

  11. 1 cardamom (seed)

  12. 8 cloves of garlic (half crushed)

  13. 1 piece ginger (1 inch half crushed)

  14. 2tbsp oil

  15. Coriander leaves

  16. Salt per taste

  17. 2tbsp lemon juice

  1. Pout 2 tbsp oil in a pressure cooker

  2. Put the green chilies and curry leaves when the oil becomes hot

  3. Add the half crushed ginger and garlic

  4. Stir them for a minute

  5. Now put the cloves, cinnamon stick, cardamom seed and black pepper pods

  6. Add the chopped onion in the mixture

  7. Put pinch of salt

  8. Fry the onions till they turn golden brown

  9. Now add the potatoes and chicken pieces

  10. Mix them well and keep stirring

  11. Now pour the thin coconut milk

  12. Cover the lid of the pressure cooker

  13. Cook the chicken till 1st whistle

  14. Open the lid

  15. The chicken is boiled now

  16. Now add the thick coconut milk and extra think coconut milk

  17. Stir it well and cook the recipe for 10 minutes

  18. Add 2tsp of lemon juice and mix well

  19. Garnish it with coriander leaves

  20. Serve kerala style chicken stew with roti, chapatti or rice
