  1. 500 gms of mutton

  2. 2 large onions

  3. 2 tomatoes (chopped)

  4. 400 ml of coconut milk

  5. 3-4 garlic cloves

  6. 1 tbsp ginger

  7. 1 green chili

  8. Cilantro for garnish

  9. Spices:

  10. tsp mustard seeds

  11. tsp fennel seeds

  12. 1 1/2 cm cinnamon stick

  13. tsp black pepper powder

  14. 1 tsp cumin seeds

  15. 1 tsp coriander seeds

  16. 1 small bay leaf

  17. 2-3 tsp salt

  18. 1 tsp turmeric powder

  19. tsp red chili powder

  20. 2 green cardamoms

  21. 2-3 cloves

  1. Chopped mutton into cubes

  2. Take garlic, ginger, cardamoms, mustard seeds, black pepper, coriander seeds, red chili powder, cinnamon stick, turmeric powder, bay leaf, green chili, fennel seeds, black pepper powder, cloves and fennel seeds

  3. Put all the spices in the grinder and make a paste

  4. Add little bit of water to make the paste thinner

  5. Hot oil on the frying pan

  6. Add onions and fry for few minutes

  7. When the onions turn little golden brown add spice mixture

  8. Mix all well

  9. Mix little bit of water

  10. When the oil is starting oozing out add mutton in it

  11. Fry mutton with spices for 10 minutes (you can use pressure cooker also)

  12. When muttons are turned brown add the tomatoes and add some salt

  13. Cover the lid

  14. Let them cook for 15 minutes

  15. Now put coconut milk in it

  16. If u want thinner gravy add some water in it

  17. Mix everything well

  18. When the curry starts to boil turn down the heat

  19. Let it simmer for another 15 minutes until the muttons are fully tender

  20. Sprinkle cilantro leaves on the mutton curry

  21. Enjoy the mutton curry with naan, rice or dosa
