  1. 4tbsp yogurt

  2. 1/2tbsp ginger paste

  3. 1/2tbsp garlic paste

  4. 1tbsp lemon juice

  5. 1tsp red chili powder

  6. 1tsp cinnamon powder

  7. 1tsp garam masala

  8. 2tsp salt (as per taste)

  9. 350gm Tofu (pieces)

  10. 3tbsp oil

  11. 1tsp cumin seeds

  12. 1tsp coriander seeds (crashed)

  13. 2 onions (chopped)

  14. 1tsp turmeric powder

  15. 1/2tsp cardamom powder

  16. elaichi powder (pinch)

  17. 1/2tsp nutmeg

  18. 4 tomatoes (chopped)

  19. 1(green) pepper (chopped)

  20. 1(red) pepper (chopped)

  21. 1/2tsp garam masala

  22. cilantro leaves (garnish)

  1. take the yogurt in a bowl

  2. add the ginger and garlic paste, lemon juice, red chili powder, cinnamon powder, salt and garam masala with the yogurt

  3. mix altogether well with a spoon

  4. now put the tofu pieces in teh mixture

  5. mix the tofu pieces with the mixture well

  6. marinade it for few hours in fridge (overnight will be best)

  7. heating up oil in a pan

  8. add the marinated tofu pieces in teh hot oil

  9. fry the tofu pieces till golden color from all sides

  10. remove the fried tofu pieces aside

  11. now start to make the sauce

  12. heating up 2tbsp oil in another pan

  13. put cumin seeds and crashed coriander seeds in the hot oil

  14. now add chopped onions

  15. put salt, turmeric powder, cardamom powder, claichi powder and nutmeg

  16. mix altogether well and saute for few minutes

  17. add the leftover marinade mixture and mix well

  18. put the chopped tomatoes now

  19. cook till the tomatoes become tender

  20. now in another pan stir fry the chopped green pepper and red pepper

  21. when in the other hand tomatoes and onions are cooked well add some water and mix well

  22. now add the fried tofu pieces and mix gently

  23. cook for 5-6 minutes

  24. when the red and green pepper pieces and tender add them with the tofu curry

  25. mix well and put garam masala

  26. mix well and cook for a minute

  27. sprinkle cilantro leaves

  28. tofu tikka masala is ready to be served

  29. served it with Basmati rice, roti, chapati, parantha or naan
