  1. 1 pound cabbage

  2. 1 tablespoon soy sauce

  3. 1/2 pound chives minced

  4. 1 teaspoon sesame oil

  5. 1 pound chicken beef, or pork, ground

  6. 1/2 pound mundoo pi (dumpling wrapper)

  7. 1 1/4 teaspoon salt

  8. 1 x soy sauce

  9. 1 x ginger root slivers

  10. 1 x vinegar*

  1. Slice cabbage coarsely; add to blender. Add water to cover cabbage. Cover and blend on high for 2 seconds. Drain and repeat until all cabbage is shredded. Squeeze cabbage to remove moisture. Blanch, rinse, and finely chop chives. Combine cabbage, chives, chicken, salt, soy sauce, and sesame oil; mix well. Put 1 tablespoon of filling in center of each pi. Fold wrapper in half and seal edges.

  2. Bring water to a boil, add dumplings and cook 5 minutes. Rinse dumplings under cold water to prevent from sticking together. Serve with soy sauce, vinegar, and ginger.

  3. Makes 4 servings.
