  1. Chicken 500 gms

  2. Tomatoes(chopped) 5 no

  3. Onions(chopped) 2 no

  4. Ginger (paste) 1 1/2 tsp

  5. garlic (paste) 1 1/2 tsp

  6. red chilli (Dry ) 4 no

  7. Green chillies (chopped) 3 no

  8. Red chilli (powder) 1 tsp

  9. Coriander powder 3 tsp

  10. Garam Masala Powder 1 tsp

  11. Cardamom 4 no

  12. Cloves 4 no

  13. Cinnamon 1tsp

  14. Oil 15 ml

  15. Salt to taste

  1. Clean and joint chicken. Add salt, chilli powder and mix well.

  2. Keep aside.

  3. Grind coriander powder and dry red chillies together to a coarse powder.

  4. Heat oil in a thick bottomed kadhai.

  5. Add cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, green chillies and ground dry red chilli and coriander powder.

  6. Fry for a minute in a medium fire.

  7. Add chopped onions, ginger garlic paste and continue frying in a slow fire till onion becomes light golden brown in color.

  8. Add chopped tomatoes and continue frying for 2 minutes.

  9. Add 100 ml water. Cover and cook till the gravy gets reduced.

  10. Add marinated chicken, salt, garam masala powder and coriander leaves.

  11. Add some water if required.

  12. Cover and cook till the chicken is tender and cooked well.

  13. Remove from heat and Serve hot with roti, nan, pulao, white rice, biryani,etc.
