Instructions Jump to Ingredients ↑

  1. Fry up the bacon in a 6 quart pan.

  2. Cook meat of your choice on side and drain the grease add the meat when you feel the bacon is kinda crisp. keep grease from bacon, I use the reserved bacon fat as flavoring when I make my homemade cat and dog foods!

  3. Add the onions, cook until they are translucent.

  4. Add the can of mushrooms, you could also just add fresh if you have them, we used what we had.

  5. Add the garlic.

  6. Add seasoning to your taste.

  7. We like it spicy so it gets a lot of creole seasoning.

  8. Add cabbage.

  9. Add tomatoes.

  10. Stir.

  11. Cover, let it simmer to mix the tastes.

  12. Stir to keep from sticking. ==

  13. We would recommend that you use 1 pound of meat per head of cabbage.

  14. Remember cabbage cooks down a LOT! ==

  15. Also remember that cabbage helps to cut the fat cells from your body, so the more cabbage you eat the more fat cells you lose!

  16. Eat up!!! And lose weight???
