  1. 1/2 c Nicoise olives, pitted

  2. 6 Anchovy fillets

  3. - cleaned, rinsed & drained

  4. 1 1/2 tb Capers

  5. 1 Garlic clove

  6. - peeled and crushed

  7. 1 Lemon, juiced

  8. 4 tb Olive oil

  9. Freshly ground pepper

  10. 2 tb Fresh basil, minced

  1. Tapenade is a wonderful olive sauce from the south of France.

  2. It is delicious on French bread or with crudites and can also make a delicious sauce for grilled meats and fish.

  3. PLACE EVERYTHING IN A BLENDER except the basil and blend on high speed.

  4. Add more olive oil if too thick.

  5. Pour into a bowl and stir in the basil.

  6. This will keep for 10 days.

  7. Makes 1 Cup
