  1. 2 c. syrup

  2. 1/3 c. coarsely chopped pecans

  3. 3/4 c. pecan halves

  4. 3 tbsp. butter

  5. 1/4 c. sugar

  6. 2 tbsp. flour

  7. 1/4 tsp. salt

  8. 4 well beaten eggs

  9. 1/2 tsp. vanilla

  10. 8 inch unbaked pie shell

  1. Bring syrup to a boil in 1 1/2 quart saucepan. Boil gently, uncovered for 8 minutes. Cool about 15 minutes. Sprinkle chopped pecans in unbaked pie shell. Cream butter, blend in sugar, flour and salt.

  2. Stir in eggs (well beaten), vanilla, and syrup. Pour into shell. Top with 3/4 cup pecan halves. Bake at 375 degrees for 55 to 60 minutes, or until puffed across top and browned. Cool.
