  1. 1/2 cup butter

  2. 5 tablespoons baking cocoa

  3. 1/4 cup sugar

  4. 1 egg, lightly beaten

  5. 1-1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs (about 24 squares)

  7. 1/2 cup chopped walnuts


  9. 1/4 cup butter, softened

  10. 3 tablespoons milk

  11. 2 tablespoons instant vanilla pudding mix

  12. 2 cups confectioners' sugar

  13. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  14. GLAZE:

  15. 4 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped

  16. 1 tablespoon butter

  1. Rich Chocolate Cream Bars Recipe photo by Taste of Home In small saucepan, combine the butter, cocoa, sugar, egg and vanilla. Cook and stir over medium-low heat until mixture reaches 160°.

  2. In a large bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, coconut and walnuts. Stir in cocoa mixture until blended. Press into a greased 9-in. square pan; set aside.

  3. For filling, in a large bowl beat the butter, milk and pudding mix until blended. Gradually beat in confectioners' sugar and vanilla until smooth; spread over crust.

  4. For glaze, in a microwave, melt chocolate and butter; stir until smooth. Spread over filling. Cover and chill until set. Cut into bars. Yield: about 3 dozen.
