  1. 1-1/4 cups whole wheat flour

  2. 1 cup all-purpose flour

  3. 3/4 cup packed brown sugar

  4. 3 teaspoons baking powder

  5. 1/2 teaspoon salt

  6. 2 eggs

  7. 1 cup orange juice

  8. 1/3 cup butter, melted

  9. 3/4 cup chopped dates

  10. 1/3 cup chopped walnuts

  11. 1 teaspoon grated orange peel

  1. Orange Date Muffins Recipe photo by Taste of Home In a bowl, combine the dry ingredients. Combine eggs, orange juice and butter; mix well. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Fold in dates, walnuts and orange peel. Coat muffin cups with cooking spray or use paper liners; fill two-thirds full with batter.

  2. Bake at 400° for 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 5 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack. Yield: 1 dozen.
