  1. Use bananas that are about to go bad. The more ripe they are, the better the bars!! Use electric mixer to get these very well blended and save your arms. Bake in UNgreased jelly roll pan at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool for 20 minutes on baking rack before frosting the bars. Note: to make sour milk, just put 1-2 Tbl vinegar in measuring cup and fill to 3/4 cup with milk; if you put it in the microwave for 15-30 seconds it really sours. Banana Frosting Cream together: 1/3 cup shortening slice in one banana 1/2 tsp vanilla (I get generous here) Add one cup at a time and beat well: 4-5 cups powdered sugar Mix together with electric mixer and spread on cooled bars.
