  1. 1 cup butter

  2. 1 cup brown sugar , firmly packed

  3. 1 cup coconut

  4. 1 cup white sugar

  5. 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  6. 2 large eggs

  7. 2 cups flour

  8. 1 teaspoon baking powder

  9. 1 teaspoon baking soda

  10. 1/2 teaspoon salt

  11. 3 1/2 cups quick-cooking oatmeal

  12. 1 cup pecans , chopped

  1. Mix butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla extract.

  2. Add coconut.

  3. Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda.

  4. salt and oatmeal.

  5. Blend all ingredients together.

  6. Add chopped nuts.

  7. Drop 1 tablespoons of batter onto greased baking sheet.

  8. Bake in 350° for 15 minutes.
