  2. 2 tablespoons margarine

  3. 1/4 cup chopped onions

  4. 1 clove garlic -- minced

  5. 1 1/2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms

  6. 1/2 teaspoon tarragon

  7. 1 cup blanched almonds -- whole

  8. 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  9. 2 teaspoons soy sauce

  10. 1 dash white pepper

  11. 2 tablespoons cream cheese

  1. In a large skillet, melt margarine. Add onion, garlic and mushrooms. Sauteuntil tender but not browned. Add tarragon, stir until it is softened. Pourmixture into a bowl of a food processor. Add remaining ingredients. Processuntil mixture is smooth. Spoon into a serving bowl. Top with garnish of yourchoice.

  2. Garnish: Slivered or finely chopped almonds, fresh parsley sprigs, pimientostrips or sweet red pepper strips.
