  1. 8 cups sifted flour

  2. 1/4 cup baking powder

  3. 1 cup shortening

  4. 1 cup dry milk powder

  5. 3 tsp. salt

  1. Sift together flour, dry milk, baking powder and salt. Cut or rub in shortening until thoroughly mixed. Lift mix lightly into glass jars or tin cans without packing. Close tightly and store on pantry shelf.

  2. TO USE: Measure 1 cup of biscuit mix into bowl and add enough water to make a soft dough, about 1/3 cup. Turn onto a lightly floured board and knead for a few seconds. Pat or roll to desired thickness and cut with a floured cutter. Bake at 450 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.
