  1. 1/2 cup vinegar white or cider

  2. 1/2 cup sugar

  3. 1 - 2 cloves garlic , minced

  4. 1/4 teaspoon salt

  5. 1 1/2 teaspoons red pepper flakes

  1. Bring vinegar to a boil in a small saucepan. Add sugar and simmer for 5 minutes.

  2. Mash minced garlic and salt together into a paste. Add red pepper flakes and combine well.

  3. Add mixture to vinegar and mix. Allow to cool and put into jar or other container and refrigerate.

  4. Will keep in refrigerator for up to 5 days.

  5. Serve at room temperature.
