  1. Tamarind (half lemon size)

  2. Tomato 1 no.

  3. Garlic 3-4 nos.

  4. cooked dhal one tablespoon

  5. Turmeric a pinch

  6. Asafoetida a pinch

  7. Salt to taste

  8. Rasam 2 tablespoon

  9. powder

  10. Oil 2 tablespoon

  11. 1/4tsp Mustard seeds (for seasoning)

  12. Curry leaves (few)

  13. Coriander leaves (a few )

  1. Soak tamarind for half an hour and make a thick paste 2. Smash tomato in to it well and remove tomato skin from it.

  2. Add salt and turmeric powder and dhal to it 4. Season mustard, asafoetida and add garlic to it 5. To this add rasam powder and saute for a while.

  3. Add the made up solution and allow to boil.

  4. On boiling add curry and coriander leaves and stop heating.

  5. Tasty rasam is ready to serve now
