  1. 6 quarts popped corn (2 air pop loads; remove the old maids)

  2. 1 cup packed brown sugar

  3. 1 cube butter or margarine

  4. 1/4 corn syrup

  5. 1/2 tsp. salt

  6. 1/2 tsp. baking soda

  7. 1-3/4 qt. microwave dish, combine remaining ingredients. Micro on high for 3 minutes. Stir until it starts to carmelize. Pour into sack on top of corn. Shake bag for 1-2 minutes. Put bag in microwave for 1-1/2 minutes on high. Remove and shake for 1 minute. Micro on high for 1 more minute. Remove and shake for 1 minute. Spread on cookie sheets to cool. Store in airtight container.
