  1. 2 pounds ground beef

  2. 1/2 cup chopped onion

  3. 2 celery ribs with leaves, chopped

  4. 1/4 cup chopped green pepper

  5. 1 2/3 cups canned crushed tomatoes

  6. 1/4 cup ketchup

  7. 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar

  8. 1 tablespoon vinegar

  9. 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

  10. 1 tablespoon steak sauce

  11. 1 teaspoon salt

  12. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  13. 1/4 teaspoon ground mustard

  14. 1/4 teaspoon paprika

  15. 8 to 10 hamburger buns, split, buttered and toasted

  1. In a Dutch oven over medium heat, cook beef, onion, celery and green pepper until the meat is not longer pink and the vegetables are tender; drain excess grease.

  2. Add the next nine ingredients; mix well. Simmer, uncovered, for 35 to 40 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  3. To serve, spoon 1/2 cup meat mixture onto each bun.
