  1. 4 pork chops,

  2. 1/2 inch thick and trimmed

  3. Vegetable oil for browning

  4. 1 med. onion, sliced and separated into rings

  5. 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

  6. 3 cups drained sauerkraut

  7. 3/4 cup apple juice

  8. 1 1/2 tsp. caraway seed

  9. 1/4 tsp. salt

  10. 1/4 tsp. thyme

  11. 1/4 tsp. pepper

  12. 1 cup sliced tart apples

  1. Brown pork chops; set aside. Place in a slow cooker half of onionrings, garlic powder, sauerkraut, apple juice, caraway seed, salt,thyme and pepper. Place remaining half of ingredients on top ofchops; top with apple slices. Cover and cook on LOW for 6 to 7 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours.
