  1. Basmati rice - 2 cup

  2. Onion (big) - 3

  3. Tomatoes (ripe) - 5

  4. Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp

  5. Chilli powder - 1 tsp

  6. Green chillies - 2

  7. Coconut milk - 1/2 cup

  8. milk - 1/2 cup

  9. Salt - to taste

  10. Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp

  11. Mint leaves 1/4cup

  12. coriander leaves - 1/4cup

  13. To season:

  14. Oil - 2 tsp

  15. Ghee (clarified butter) - 1 tsp

  16. Cinnamon-1

  17. Cloves-1

  18. Cardamom - 1

  1. Wash and soak the rice in 2½ cups of water.

  2. Chop onion and tomatoes finely.

  3. Heat oil and ghee in cooker; add the seasoning ingredients, onion, green chillies. To that add turmeric powder, salt and sauté well.

  4. When onion is half cooked add ginger garlic paste, mint, coriander leaves, tomatoes and chilli powder, mix and cook well till its raw flavor is changed.

  5. To that add coconut milk, salt and rice with water and mix well.

  6. Close the cooker, Cook till 1 whistle.

  7. Reduce the flame to sim and let it cook for 5 mins.

  8. Hot and tasty tomato pulav is ready
