  1. 2 1/2 lbs 1135g / 40oz Boneless chuck roast - trimmed, and Cut into 1" cubes

  2. 3 cups 187g / 6.6oz Chopped onion

  3. 1 Garlic clove - crushed

  4. 1 tablespoon 15ml Vegetable oil

  5. 8 oz 227g Tomato sauce

  6. 1 1/2 teaspoons 7 1/2ml Caraway seeds

  7. 1 1/2 teaspoons 7 1/2ml Salt

  8. 1 teaspoon 5ml Dill seeds

  9. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Pepper

  10. 1 1/2 teaspoons 7 1/2ml Worcestershire sauce

  11. 2 tablespoons 30ml Brown sugar -

  12. 1 cup 237ml Sour cream

  13. Hot cooked noodles

  1. Saute beef cubes, onion, and garlic in hot oil in a Dutch oven until beef is browned. Add tomato sauce and next 6 ingredients. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, 1 hour and 30 minutes or until tender.

  2. Stir in sour cream; cook, stirring often, just until thoroughly heated (do not boil). Serve over hot cooked noodles.
