Take the chicken pieces in a bowl
Add yogurt, turmeric powder and salt
Now add ginger and garlic paste and coriander leaves
Make a paste with the fried onions and green chilies
Now add the paste with the chicken
Mix all the ingredients with the chicken pieces well and leave the chicken to marinate for 1-1.5 hours
After the marinating heating up 1tbsp of ghee or butter in a heavy deep pan
Put the crashed dry fruits in the hot ghee and fry them until they turn golden brown
Now in the same pan add the marinated chicken
Put the biryani masala and mix well
Cook the chicken in a low flame
In other have to cook the rice first heating up 1tbsp of ghee in another heavy bottom pan
Add the cloves, cinnamon and black cardamom
Fry for a minutes
Now add rice in the pan
Fry for few minutes
Now add hot water in the rice
Add salt
Cook the rice till it half done
Off the stove and put the rice in a bowl and drain the excess water
You can remove the fried cloves, cardamom and cinnamon from the rice now
In the other hand the chicken is half done
Sprinkle garam masala over it
Now put the rice in the pan of chicken
Pour the saffron which is already soaked in milk
Sprinkle pinch of garam masala all over the rice
Now add the food color over the rice
Put some almonds and cashew nut over the rice
Garnish it with coriander leaves and mint leaves
Cover the pan with a lid
Cook the rice with chicken now in a low flame for 1-20 minutes
Nawabi biryani is ready
Serve it hot with any favorite raita
