  1. 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

  2. 1 pound spicy smoked sausage

  3. 1/2 pounds shrimp

  4. 10-12 cloves thinly sliced garlic

  5. 1 medium onion , diced

  6. 2 (28-ounce) cans diced tomato es

  7. 1 tbsp tomato paste

  8. 1 tbsp oregano

  9. 1 tbsp basil

  10. 3 tbsp parsley

  11. 1/2 tbsp crushed red pepper s

  12. 1 tbsp black pepper

  13. Salt to taste

  14. 1 package angel hair pasta cooked separately.

  1. Heat oil in large saucepan over medium high heat. Add sliced garlic and onion.

  2. Cut the sausage links in half lengthwise, then crosswise into 1/4-inch pieces, creating half-moons. Add the sausages to the saucepan and heat until they are lightly browned. Add tomato paste and let thicken approx 1-2 minutes. Then add diced tomatoes and remaining spices. Allow sauce to reach a rolling boil and let simmer for 30 minutes to an hour. Bring the sauce back to a rolling boil and add shrimp. Cook approx 5-10 minutes until shrimp is cooked through and serve over pasta.
