  1. Seer Fish (vanjiram) - 4 piece

  2. Basmati rice - 2 1/2 cup

  3. Tomato (ripe) - 4

  4. Onion (big) - 3

  5. Garam masala powder - 1 tsp

  6. Curd (yoghurt) - 1/2 cup

  7. Chilli powder - 1 tsp

  8. Green chillies - 4

  9. Mint leaves -1/2cup

  10. coriander leaves - 1/2cup

  11. Oil - 1/2 cup

  12. Ghee (clarified butter) - 1/4 cup

  13. Salt - 2 tsp

  14. Ginger garlic paste 1tsp

  15. cinnamon (paste) - 4 tsp

  16. Bay leaves - 2

  17. Fennel seeds -1 tsp

  1. Wash and soak rice.

  2. Slice onion, tomatoes and green chillies lengthwise.

  3. To the fish pieces apply salt, chilli powder and garam masala powder and fry the pieces in oil.

  4. After bringing it to room temperature, remove skin and bones.

  5. Cut it into small pieces.

  6. Heat oil in a heavy bottomed pan; add fennel seeds, bay leaves, onion, green chillies and sauté well.

  7. Add ghee and mint leaves. Fry for some time.

  8. Add ginger garlic cinnamon paste and fry.

  9. Fry again after adding curd, tomato, chilli powder and salt.

  10. Add 2 glasses of hot water and when it boils add the rice mix and close with a lid.

  11. When the water is almost absorbed cook the rice by dum method.
