  1. 1 tablespoon 15ml Butter or margarine

  2. 1 tablespoon 15ml Onion - finely chopped

  3. 1/2 cup 55g / 1.9oz Celery

  4. 1 Green beans; French style

  5. 1 tablespoon 15ml Pimento - chopped

  6. 2 cups 125g / 4.4oz Cooked chicken - diced

  7. 2 cups 474ml Condensed cream of mushroom

  8. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Oregano

  9. White pepper to taste

  10. 2/3 cup 97g / 3.4oz Cashew or roasted peanut halves

  11. 1 tablespoon 15ml Parsley - minced

  1. Melt butter in a 2 or 3 quart saucepan. Add onion, celery, and beans.

  2. Cover; simmer over low heat about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beans are tender. Add pimento, chicken, soup, and seasonings.

  3. Cook 10 minutes to blend flavors; stir as needed to prevent sticking.

  4. Stir in nuts. Sprinkle with parsley before serving.
