  2. Crust:

  3. 3 cups all purpose flour

  4. 3/4 cup butter or margarine, softened

  5. 1/3 cup sugar

  6. 1/2 tsp. salt

  7. Filling:

  8. 4 large eggs, beaten to blend

  9. 1 1/2 cups sugar

  10. 1 1/2 cups light corn syrup

  11. 3 tbsp. melted butter or margarine

  12. 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

  13. 2 1/2 cups chopped pecans

  1. For Crust:

  2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 15x10 inch jelly roll pan. Beat together flour, butter, sugar and salt in a large bowl until crumbly. Press into the bottom of the prepared pan and bake 20 minutes until lightly browned.

  3. For Filling:

  4. Mix together eggs, sugar, corn syrup, melted butter or margarine and vanilla in a large bowl. Stir in pecans. Pour filling over prepared crust and bake 25 minutes until set. Cool completely and cut into squares.
